ARDIMASOV, Oleg

Oleg Ardimasov, a prominent Russian artist was born in 1936. He studied in the Irkutsk Art College until 1958 and then graduated from the Surikov Art Academy in Moscow in 1964. Ardimasov started exhibiting his works in 1965. Soon he became known in the art world of the former USSR.

His teaching career started in 1970 in the Surikov Art Academy where he became Professor of Art.

His paintings have been widely exhibited in Russia and in the West and make part of private collections in Germany, China, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, France, Israel and USA. In London his art has been promoted by the leading galleries those of Roy Miles and Paul Hawkins.

Oleg Ardimasov is a Member of the Union Of Artists of Russia. He was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the USSR in 1981.
