Anatoly Shapovalov was born in 1949. He finished the Odessa Art School in 1966 and then graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Art and Architecture in 1970. Having trained in the studio of Viktor Puzyrkov he became a member of the Ukranian National Union of Artists and has since taken part in numerous republican, national and international art shows. His many paintings are held in private collections in the USA and Europe.
